Overview

BR Mania, which are the convenience stores of Petrobras gas stations, one of the largest state-owned companies in Brazil, asked us to develop within the company’s APP an area where we would include the store’s menu and would have a new GPS recognition technology and payment by QR. Being able to place the order inside and outside the store. So, our challenge was to develop their e-commerce with the integration of this new technology.

My role

I was the team lead and senior UI designer, nsuring the excellence of experience in line with the newest e-commerce in the segment.

Main tasks

1. Research with users and developers
2. benchmark
3. find partner solutions to assist in payments
4. design, prototype, test 
5. ensure full integration between the new technology present in stores and the APP.

The Solution

We created an APP that can be recognized both via GPS from the physical store, and you can generate a QR code and scan at the store entrance.
When ordering remotely, it only starts to be prepared when you are 2 km from the chosen store, thus ensuring that it will be fresh and warm when you arrive.
Payment can be made either physically, by scanning the QR code, or via APP with a credit card. In addition, the customer can include new products within the physical store, even if his order was placed remotely.
